Wholesale product lines are the life blood of the retail business. You can be an eBay seller, flea market vendor, dollar store operator, or a wholesaler, but you will have one thing in common with your peers.
You constantly will need to update your products to keep the attention of your customers.
Even in my own wholesale business, www.closeoutexplosion.com I have certain product lines that represent 80% of my business. But if I don’t constantly update them my customers will look elsewhere.
Remember that it’s human nature to always want something new.
Wholesalers and retailers alike must be able to offer their respective customers with new products that will catch and keep their attention.
At the same time, it’s just as equally important that the your new wholesale products fit with your business image.
If your customers are expecting you to carry brand name clothing, and then you start selling toys, they will become confused. Make sure that the new wholesale products which you add to your product line fit in with the rest of your product line.
When adding new wholesale products to your business you want to make sure that you can offer a decent selection. Your customers will want variety as well as selection, so make sure that the new wholesale products are available in different styles.
Always place yourself in the shoes of your customers when you are deciding what wholesale products to add to your product line.
Your customers will be focused on quality, selection, and prices when placing an order.
This is true for customers on the wholesale and retail level. It does not matter why they are buying from you, at the end of the day they will only buy if you offer a better quality, selection, and pricing than your competitors do.
This is even true for customers who are not looking for first quality wholesale products.
In this situation they will still compare the quality of your wholesale products with the quality of the products of your competitors.
Remember that any new products that your business carries must fit in with your current product line, as well as be competitive on quality, styles, and prices.
