Everyone has their moment in time when they feel overwhelmed and
unappreciated. As a mom, you can feel like the only time
anything is going to get done is if YOU do it. Right now, I’m
thinking about the pile of dishes in the sink and the laundry
that needs to be folded. Forget the scrapbooking or curling up
on the couch to have a good read! Does this sound familiar,
moms? In this article, you will find out exactly what you can
do to maintain a positive attitude and get your things done too!
Even though you may not want to admit it, your day will go a
whole lot easier if you are optimistic and actually look forward
to getting your daily “mom stuff” complete!
I keep a quote on my refrigerator that keeps me in line .
Whenever I get that feeling of discouragement because I have so
much to do and not enough time, I read this quote. The quote
is: “You don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it
going.” I learned that quote from a guy by the name of Mike
Litman, who is a great motivator. I can really appreciate that
quote because so many times I find myself not wanting to start a
project because I’m afraid I won’t finish it or it won’t be done
perfectly. I have learned to break my “to do” list down and
start with small incremental steps. I have found that by doing
this, the projects start getting done! Moms get to wear a lot
of hats and the best hat a mom can wear is a “happy hat”. This sets a good example for our kids and it creates an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
So get up tomorrow morning and as corny as it sounds, put on
your happy hat and remember, “You don’t have to get it right,
you just have to get it going!” Be the best mom you can be!
